Give up a challenge

• The Challenger can give up partway through a challenge.

• Give-up is only available when the Sponsor has enabled it.

• Giving up incurs a gas fee.

• Whether give-up is available is shown on the challenge detail screen.

• When give-up is available, “Give up” is shown below “Send steps”.

The challenge is given up.

1. The give-up is confirmed.

2. When the Sponsor ends the challenge, the give-up distribution rule kicks in. Check the give-up distribution on the challenge screen and in the wallet transaction history.

The give-up distribution rule is either: refund the entire commitment deposit to the Sponsor, or distribute by (achievement rate × Receiver’s share).

1. If you are the Sponsor and chose “Refund the entire commitment deposit to the Sponsor”, confirm after the challenge ends that the give-up deposit has been distributed to your wallet.

• Confirm that the fees were also deducted.
• If someone else is the Sponsor and “Refund the entire commitment deposit to the Sponsor” was set, the deposit is distributed to the Sponsor’s wallet at the moment the challenge end is confirmed.
• If “Achievement rate × Receiver’s share” was set, the deposit is distributed to the Receiver’s wallet at the moment the challenge end is confirmed.
• The deposit typically arrives about 20 minutes after the challenge ends.
